The Amazing New Adventures of Larry and Mark - Peru, Land of the Incas
Land of the Incas - End of June to July 9, 2009

After six months of putting this off, I'm finally ready to start the Peru story.
Why Peru? This is my first trip which was not centered on wildlife.
I have been to the Amazon jungle, Galapagos, Africa and the Arctic with
team-mate Mark Blazis. But this trip was different. We were not looking
for the animals (we found plenty.) We were looking for pre-historic civilization
and the mystique of the "Inca" and their ancient construction techniques
which were done so well that many of them are intact hundreds of years later.

Some of our team were already friends, including the Blazis' Mark and Helen,
Dr. and Mrs. Bruce and Carolyn Field, and Dr. Nancy DeTora and son Ben. The
rest of our 17-person team we would get to know very well over the next ten days.
